Vorgeschichte / previous history:
WEACT received a tip in March of 2021 that there were dogs dying at Hwaseong Paltan Dog Farm. Upon seeing the stiff bodies of the dogs in the photos, WEACT immediately headed to Hwaseong. The site was even more terrifying in person. There were 12 neglected dogs either trapped in small cages or tied up on short leashes with only food waste in a bowl. Without proper shelter, they had to endure extreme weather conditions and fear for their lives. Thanks to the help from our volunteers, all 12 dogs were rescued as well as three stray dogs nearby. Rinda was finally able to escape from the cold, dark place and finally get to know the beautiful world waiting for her.
Charakterbeschreibung / character description:
With people: Rinda loves people! She loves spending every moment with people. She approaches them with a smile and likes to snug up against people. And, when it is time for treats, she knows how to wait patiently.
With Dogs: Rinda gets along well with other dogs. Because she loves her dog friends, she sometimes gets too excited and may put her front paws on another dog’s back. But, she is actually being playful! In case smaller dogs get overwhelmed, it is important to monitor and introduce her to them slowly. It would also be the best for her to play with other dogs her size.
Other: Rinda is also crate trained and prefers outdoor potty.
Walks: Rinda is currently practicing leash walks and is doing great! She prefers to walk on the left side of the person and doesn’t seem to be bothered by car noises. Barker: Rinda only barks when she is excited to play with other dogs.
Energy Level: Medium - walks twice a day is recommended
Carsick: no
Flight Risk: None noted, but double-leashing is recommended at first for safety.
